Somewhat ironically, the gods have effectively been ensnared by the GoD just like the Priomordials were before them. The GoD are basically the entire reason that Creation is such a massive shitsack, because their very existence is drawing and maintaining the attention of the small group of beings that could potentially un-fuck things if they were ever able to actually get off their asses and notice the world is falling apart around their ears. Where the games of divinity, the one thing that can thwart him, are located. Given the way that the Solars of the First Age pissed him off enough to wash his hands of them he doesn't even *like* looking at Creation anymore, and therefor he spends all his time in Heaven. It fascinates him like nothing else, because it's the one thing, the one situation, where he doesn't win automatically by default of being who he is. That is why it is possible for people other than the TUS to 'win' the games of divinity (and thus have their chosen celestial body appear in the sky over heaven), because by its very nature the GoD can not be played perfectly and thus TUS can not always win. The one thing in all of Creation that can hold his attention because no matter how long he sits and thinks and no matter what strategies he comes up with he will never be able to play the perfect game, because there is no perfect game. It's the one thing that he can't just instantly overcome, the one thing where he has to actually try in order to be successful at it. There is no 'perfect strategy' involved with the GoD because by its very nature a perfect strategy does not exist and, indeed, can not exist. But, and here's the thing, the games of divinity are unknowable and by their nature can not be predicted. He's literally supposed to embody perfection itself. He's supposed to be right, all the time every time, never making mistakes, always making the right choices, etc etc. It's the nature of the games of divinity, and the nature of TUS himself, that keep him invested and indeed addicted to it.īy default TUS is supposed to represent Perfection.
